• Parent account information: name, email address, and ZIP code when you create a parent account.
• Children's information: child first names and dates of birth (or ages) so we can help match programs to your family. We do not require full legal names or other unnecessary personal details about children.
• Location data:ZIP codes you enter for search, and general location derived from geocoding to show nearby programs. We do not continuously track your device's GPS location.
• Business listing information: business name, contact details, program descriptions, schedules, pricing, photos, and addresses submitted by program owners.
• Usage data: search queries, saved programs, page views, and contact clicks to improve the platform and provide analytics to program owners in aggregate form.

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide search, saved programs, and account features for parents
• Display and manage business listings
• Match program age ranges to your children's ages
• Process payments for business listings
• Send account-related communications
• Improve platform safety, performance, and relevance
• Comply with legal obligations

Locale is designed for parents and guardians. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13 without verifiable parental consent. Parents create accounts and provide limited information about their children solely to improve program discovery.

If you believe a child under 13 has provided us personal information without parental consent, please contact us at hello@locale.com and we will promptly delete it.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for their marketing purposes. We may share information only with service providers who help us operate the platform (such as hosting, authentication, and payment processing) under contractual obligations to protect your data, or when required by law.

We retain account information while your account is active and as needed to provide our services. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by emailing hello@locale.com. We will delete or anonymize your information within a reasonable period, except where retention is required by law or for legitimate business purposes such as fraud prevention.

We use industry-standard measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
